Absolutely right from our MP Joy Morrissey MP. At Buckinghamshire Council we have a policy to consider all sites based on the facts on the ground, not political posturing.

Blanket 20mph speed limits, like those forced on people by Liberal Democrats in Oxfordshire are motivated more by ideology than safety. They do not work to make us safe and they waste huge amounts of taxpayers money to implement, we need local solutions for individual sites.
